Maple 28 Restaurant was established in the year of 2022 and open its doors in early 2023. The Restaurant was founded by the Chef-owner, Ann Galang. Chef Ann was residing in Sydney, Australia working as an Executive Sous Chef in an award-winning Seafood Restaurant in the city.
As fate had it, she decided to come home to Manila for a dental surgery in the year 2020. Little did she know, the week after she arrived, the Philippine Government as well as the Australian Government declared a lockdown due to pandemic. As months went by being stuck as no flights were available, she finally decided to stay for good. Through Chef Ann's experience abroad in the hospitality industry and having the strong enthusiasm when it comes to food, she thought of putting up her own restaurant.
Having to come to Subic Bay Freeport Zone every now and then because of family business which is not hospitality related, Chef Ann became familiar to the community and decided to put her first restaurant venture in the area as she wanted to join the growing community of the SBFZ through food business. The restaurant's concept is to have a vibrant and stylish ambiance and that applies as well to the presentation and plating of our dishes.
