Coastal Cleanup - March 13, 2024

"We will not stop, we should not stop" says SBMA Chairman and Administrator, and birthday celebrant, Eduardo L. Aliño, during his speech for today's coastal cleanup program held at The Lighthouse Marina Resort.

Subic Bay is a safe haven for our native and threatened wildlife and the last stronghold of the Giant Golden-crowned Flying Fox (the largest bat in the world), the Philippine Blue-naped Parrot and the Green Racket-tail Parrot.

1st place winner on the 2023 Wild Bird Photographers of the Philippines (WBPP) Anniversary photo contest.

From sailing icon Frank Pong:

There are many events in our Asian Circuit and my favorite is Subic Bay to Boracay. There is nowhere else like it.

You have to be prepared for strong winds when you're down in the Boracay 20 knots to 25 knots... every day! beautiful waves and the welcome is unsurpassed. It is living proof that we can co-habitate amongst our native wildlife if we learn how to share our natural resources with them and respect their existence.
